Copyright and Intellectual Property

Ownership

Grid Heap or its licensors own the intellectual-property rights in heap.page, including its software, product identity, original writing, annotations, classifications, compilations, visual design, and other original materials. Those rights are protected by United States and other applicable laws.

No ownership of a third-party work is claimed merely because heap.page links to, describes, classifies, quotes, or reports on that work. Facts, titles, names, and dates may not themselves be protected, while original expression, selection, arrangement, and presentation may be protected.

Limited permission

Subject to the Terms of Use, Grid Heap grants visitors a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to access and use public heap.page material for lawful personal and non-commercial purposes.

You can quote a limited portion when permitted by law if the quotation is accurate, does not imply endorsement, preserves any required notice, and identifies or links to the relevant heap.page page.

• Do not reproduce or extract a substantial portion of a Heap, database, or publication.
• Do not resell, republish, or make Premium material available to another person without written permission.
• Do not remove ownership notices, defeat access controls, or present Grid Heap material as your own.
• Do not use Grid Heap names, logos, or marks in a way that suggests sponsorship or affiliation.

Third-party materials

Articles, photographs, videos, games, trademarks, documents, posts, and other third-party materials remain subject to the rights and terms of their owners. A source link, citation, factual description, or editorial reference does not transfer those rights to Grid Heap or a visitor.

heap.page uses limited excerpts, thumbnails, and other material where permission, license, public-domain status, fair use, or another lawful basis supports the use. A page also reports that disputed or leaked material exists without hosting the underlying material when that fact is relevant to the coverage.

Submitting an infringement notice

Send copyright and other intellectual-property notices to Grid Heap Legal. A notice should identify the protected work, the specific heap.page URL and material at issue, the action requested, the claimant's name and contact details, and the basis for the claimant's authority.

A formal copyright notice should include the statements, signature, and other information required by applicable law. Grid Heap requests information reasonably necessary to identify the work, locate the material, or verify authority before acting.

• Identify each work claimed to have been infringed.
• Identify the exact URL and material that should be reviewed.
• Explain why the use is not authorized by the owner, its agent, or the law.
• State that the supplied information is accurate and provide a physical or electronic signature when required.

Review and response

Grid Heap reviews each notice and, as appropriate, restricts material during review, notifies an affected contributor, preserves relevant records, corrects attribution, replaces a source link, narrows an excerpt, removes an asset, or documents another appropriate outcome.

Grid Heap rejects incomplete, misleading, fraudulent, or abusive notices. A report does not guarantee removal, and Grid Heap leaves material available when it concludes that the use is licensed, authorized, not infringing, or otherwise lawful.

Counter-notice and restoration

A person whose material was restricted can contact Grid Heap Legal with the affected URL, identification of the removed material, the reason restoration is requested, reliable contact information, and any statements or consent required by applicable law.

Grid Heap provides a valid counter-notice to the original claimant and restores material when legally permitted. Separate editorial, privacy, safety, contractual, or product-integrity grounds remain independent grounds for restriction.

Repeat infringement

Where appropriate and in suitable circumstances, Grid Heap suspends or terminates accounts or contributor access associated with repeated infringement. Decisions consider the validity, frequency, context, and outcome of notices rather than relying only on an unverified allegation.

Grid Heap Legal is not registered with the United States Copyright Office as a designated agent.

Use the correct contact channel

Copyright, trademark, and other rights notices are legal matters. A suspected vulnerability belongs with Security; a non-legal company inquiry belongs with Corporate; and ordinary heap.page product help belongs in the private support form.
