Resend

Resend gives developers APIs and delivery tools for transactional email, alongside contact and broadcast features for marketing messages.

What it does

Resend gives developers APIs and delivery tools for transactional email, alongside contact and broadcast features for marketing messages. Its dashboard, testing tools and event webhooks help teams integrate email and investigate what happens after a send request.

  • Send application email from your backend. REST APIs, SMTP and language SDKs support flows such as welcome messages, invitations and password resets. Developers control the sender, recipient and content in code, making email part of the application's existing workflow rather than a separate manual process.
  • Build reusable email templates with React. Resend integrates with the React Email component library to express message layouts in a familiar development model. Teams can reuse content and styling across transactional messages while still testing how the resulting HTML behaves in the email clients their users have.
  • Test outcomes without contacting real recipients. Test addresses and event simulation let developers exercise delivery, bounce and complaint paths during integration. This supports validation of application handling before launch, especially when a send request succeeding is not enough to establish that the recipient received the message.
  • React to delivery events through webhooks. Notifications can report events such as delivery, opens, clicks and bounces to a team's server. Applications can update state or suppress future sends based on these signals, while treating engagement metrics appropriately because email-client behavior can affect their interpretation.
  • Operate marketing broadcasts and contacts. A visual editor, contact management and broadcast analytics provide a separate workflow for newsletters and campaigns. Teams can organize recipient information and inspect results without building every marketing operation in code, while respecting consent and unsubscribe requirements for the audience.
  • Inspect sending health and reputation. Logs, analytics and domain authentication tools help diagnose delivery problems. The platform also describes region choices, suppression lists, monitoring and managed dedicated IP options; these capabilities depend on the configuration and plan and do not guarantee inbox placement for every message.
